JAA PPL Validity?

Postby Cobra » Mon Jan 12, 2009 1:38 pm

I was just wondering if anyone knows the exact criteria for keeping my licence valid. I was under the impression that, among other things, I needed to fly 12 hours a year, but someone scared me the other day saying that in fact it should be 12 hours PIC which I don't think i'll have?

And also, are these hours in the last 365 days or from the date of licence issue??

Thanks lads  :)

appropriate to include;

i. 6 hours as pilot-in-command;

ii. 12 take-offs and landings;

iii. a training flight of at least 1 hour

Ah sweet, thanks C ... that was what I was looking for. Such a complicated bussiness ... !

Haha, you saw right through me ... that was basically what I was asking ... thought I was on easy street now Her Majesty was paying for my flying  :'(

& thats crazy C! It will be funny when you walk into the local flying club saying you want to do your PPL, and when the give you the usual snobbery just drop in the few hundred/thousand hours on the VC10!

Thanks again mate :) Next time you are down and Leeming drop me a line if you have a free few minutes!
