Mercury?

Im just wondering if there was a french aircompany or a french jet aircraft with the name Mercury in the 70`s and 80`s. all that i remember is that when i was kid i had a DIY aircraft toy model with name Mercury somewhere there... Its not the american Mercury Airlines so... do you know something bout this?
