Anyone fancy a wintery meet?

Postby Mictheslik » Tue Nov 25, 2008 5:12 pm

For my sins I'll be spending Saturday catching some GA at Old Sarum (weather permitting of course).....:)

If it rains I'll just go and see York City get thrashed by Salisbury :P

Looks like you'll be on your own Mic. Might be a better idea to go to the footy. ;)

Ended up spending about 40 minutes in the freezing cold on the terrace at OS before heading over the road to watch York draw 1-1 with Salisbury....(Hilarious goalkeeping error on one of them :P)

Not much action but had a chat with one of the ground staff who was on birdscaring duty, and caught a microlight go up and do a couple of circuits aswell as a C152, an unidentified kit aircraft and a PZL Koliber (OK...I looked it up :P) all leaving :)

Will definitely be back.....great atmosphere....:)

Surprised you saw much at all considering how bad the weather was across the UK yesterday.

Mind you, you should have gone to Brize; it cleared up sufficiently for a couple of 10's, 7 Typhoons (diverting from Coningsby) and a Timmy to arrive/depart.
