You'd have needed a periscope to see it...

Ouch that's going to cost them a fortune. But to be honest there wasn't much else they could do. The weathers been bad at times today  here and it's not been any better down there so no choice.
I would expect next years to be even more expensive to make some money back

I wonder how many people will turn up tomorrow expecting to see a show. This is my main objection to buying tickets in advance. If they insist on doing it this way I suspect it will put a lot of people off going in future. With the unreliable weather in this country I don't usually make my decision until the morning of the event. At least with the RAFA show at Shoreham the advance tickets are valid for either day or you can still get a ticket on the gate if you prefer.

Just got back... feeling bitterly dissapointed. Went to have a look at the red car park Saturday morning and it didn't seem too bad to me... I thought it was definitely on for Sunday, I guess the showground was really bad.  :(

Jake, people thought the same about silverstone a few years back before the new car parks were built. Unfortunatly they found out very quickly, cars chew up a field very quickly if its even slightly damp. Of course it wasn't helped by a further downpour on race day, but the damage was done on the saturday.
Same woud happen here I fear, theres been that much rain and just no chance for it to dry out. within an hour or two you'll be needing tractors to pull cars out.

Yeah... we were towed in to our campsite by a tractor. On Saturday though, they brought a digger in and just removed the mud and we were able to drive out!
