How about a Miles Sparrowjet & Miles Student. Both one-offs which I saw flying many times at Shoreham.

I heard that someone was rebuilding the Sparrowjet to its original Sparrowhawk configuration some years ago. I wonder what happened to it. It's still on the CAA civil register.

I watched it take off whist I was changing an engine on a 737 at Munich Airport a few months ago. Quite impressive.......One of the few aircraft where a low level climb out is a normal take off

Silver One: (1996) 25th Anniversary aircraft. Originally polished bare metal, it was later painted silver for easier maintenance. It was then re-painted with a silver metallic paint. This aircraft also featured silver seats, which were replaced to conform with the rest of the fleet for simplicity. Silver One also featured silver heart shaped drink stirrers.(N629SW)

I flew the SWA Silver One N629SW from KTPA to KBNA a couple of summers ago...that was really neat. The bad part was I was sick as heck the entire flight...

I also forgot, that I saw a five engine (pod) 747-400 from Qantas take off (I think) a few months ago.

ANOTHER I forgot - when I landed in KLAS in 2005, I saw Janet 737-200s.

If it is rare you are looking for, I have flown in the Bristol Blenheim, before she was crashed the last time (belly landing after the gear refused to come down) 8-)................AND I have the pictures to prove it

Rarest I've seen probably aren't very rare at all. A Beech 18 used by a local freight company, as well as what looked to me like a De Havilland Dove (it was at a distance in a dark hangar, may actually be a Heron).

Also seen some AS-61's (rare for me), a few Super Pumas, and a Mil Mi-26 during a recent visit to Venezuela. My hotel was right across the street from Generalisimo Francisco de Miranda Airbase, so I got to see super-close flypasts of these huge helos on a daily basis. Also got to see some OV-10's flying about. First time I've seen 'em fly.

Speaking of rare, has anyone seen Mi-26 "Yellow 68?"
