[quote]From what I hear through the aviation grapevine, Airbus is planning to move a lot of the production of the either the A-320 or A-330 to the Mobile plant once it gets up and running, which means more jobs there.

If only McDonnel Douglas were still around.... then the KC-11 would have won.  8-)

Are they going to build the tanker in the us completely? if so the "Foreign Arguments"  don't really count anymore no? Actually European Airbus is giving away their militairy secrets to the u.s. no?

I for one am happy the A-330 won...for the sole reason that I think it's the better looking one  :P
Originally I read that 40% would be built at the A330 plant, while the rest would be built in Mobile and shipped to the USAF.

And this is why I agree about the foreign thing not being an issue, after all we bought the AV-8 from a Europe.

But I do like the RAAF paint job, makes it look nice, they should paint the US version like the F-22 with the Camo Grey Sky paint.

You bought the AV-8 from England, not Europe. England just happens to be located close to the coast of Europe 8-)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Yes we all know england is no part of europe!! ;D ;).

I was quite surprised to read this, since most of the US politics completely revolts around the weapon industry wich in turn powers a big part of the US economy.

Although after reading through the comments ,and a vague memory about boeing screwing around a few years ago( i remember reading/seeing something about his, then it seems to make sense.
