Honduran Airport?

Postby Xyn_Air » Thu Jan 24, 2008 5:43 pm

I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the airport in this video:

HERE

The runway looks rather short and the approach insane for the size of aircraft shown landing in the video (looks maybe to be an Airbus A-319?  I suck at visual recognition . . .  :-[ ).  Hats of to the flight crew for what appears to be one hell of a landing.  I would like to be able to identify this airport because it might be fun to try out in FS.

Thanks!

Thanks for the extra video and the airport information!  This is definitely going on my list of must-try airports!  I did some further reading here, and was amused to see the following under the caution section:

. . . buses and trucks on road can be obst(acles) to fl(igh)t path on l(an)d(in)g.

:o

And you thought a 6,000ft long runway would be your biggest worry!

Curiously,

I love that clip.
Perfect illustration of knowing how to actually fly an airliner, as opposed to just sitting there monitoring it.  He's digging in the bottom of the envelope there... ;D
