Colditz Gliding Club...

Sadly it seems the designer of the famous, but never used, Colditz escape glider has passed away. Bill Goldfinch was 91.

If anyone doesn't know the story of the Colditz glider, it's well worth a google. There was also an excellent documentary produced on the glider and its designers a few years back.

In the documentary, they built a replica and successfully flew it. I think that said glider is now in Hendon, but don't quote me on that.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
