The search for Steve Fossett:

P.S. I find it interesting to read various bits of interesting news from around the World, then visit the location in the Sim... :)...!

I do that also.

Wondering why there was not a working emergency locator transmitter on board.  Isn't that a given :-/

Touche!!... 8-)...!

Being a Flight Sim California addict, I follow the various Earthquake, Land slide, and Forest Fire, etc, regions, whenever they pop up on the Local News (Kron4 and LA Times), with my selection of Piston Prop Aircraft.
Fascinating!

F.... 8-)...!

Fosset reminds me of one of those "olden days" millionaire types.  Kinda like Teddy Roosevelt and others who spent their money on grand adventures hunting big game in Africa or, in Steve's case, exploring the last few wilds of aviation.  I gotta say I admire him tremendously, he's living the life I'd want to live if I had the cash.  So much cooler than buying a giant McMansion and sitting in air conditioned comfort all day watching your giant TV.
