OW military Pageant is on the second.....I might be going to that aswell now...trains only cost

Thinking about it, I also have a trip to the mach loop planned in sept and I'm down bristol way sunday. Not sure I can justify a near 400 mile roundtrip to shoreham. But we'll see.

Why shouldn't a display of an aircraft also be called a demonstration of its abilities....

You just said it yourself. It's a display, and frankly, aircraft "demos" are another Americanism I/we could do without. Call me old fashioned, but I like my English English...

Last OW show normally is in October. Sadly I can't make the September Sunday show due to work.

Shoreham is usually a jolly good day out, especially if you've not been before. I'll probably be going as it's only a couple of miles away. Not sure which day yet as it depends on the weather. Won't be the same without the Harriers.

I think that goes for much of the UK airshow scene this year, been as big a loss as expected.
