I'm finally going to Shoreham :D:D:D

Tickets came today, trains are booked (

I might pop down, but I'm not sure, I believe its near to the last OW show, which I promised Doug I would attend.

I might pop down, but I'm not sure, I believe its near to the last OW show, which I promised Doug I would attend.


OW military Pageant is on the second.....I might be going to that aswell now...trains only cost

Thinking about it, I also have a trip to the mach loop planned in sept and I'm down bristol way sunday. Not sure I can justify a near 400 mile roundtrip to shoreham. But we'll see.

theres some nice demos....anyone else going?



Displays Mic, displays. Please don't let us get all American (no offence). American's do demo's, we do displays...

The only demo I know is that blasted "role demo"...

The only demo I know is that blasted "role demo"...


Why shouldn't a display of an aircraft also be called a demonstration of its abilities....

You just said it yourself. It's a display, and frankly, aircraft "demos" are another Americanism I/we could do without. Call me old fashioned, but I like my English English... ;) :)

Last OW show normally is in October. Sadly I can't make the September Sunday show due to work.

Shoreham is usually a jolly good day out, especially if you've not been before. I'll probably be going as it's only a couple of miles away. Not sure which day yet as it depends on the weather. Won't be the same without the Harriers. :'(

Won't be the same without the Harriers. :'(

I think that goes for much of the UK airshow scene this year, been as big a loss as expected. :(
