No flights to Alabama? ;D

I'm pretty sure "gay" still means "carefree" in Alabama...

:D

I guess not, but I was just recently informed that I'm co-piloting in a King Air to Alabama a week from today.  I've never been to Alabama before.  Just how "carefree" is it?

Well, don't tell them that you are having a gay time whilst you are their ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I've been to Alabama twice.  Being a black man from the west coast / midwest, I went there paying alot of attention to how things were.  I got the impression that the "south" wants to rehabilitate it's reputation of the past, regarding race relations.  I kinda enjoyed it, actually.  If you're landing in Montgomery and can get a car, Tuskegee Airfield is just a 45 minute drive from Montgomery.

....but I did go to the Chickamauga battlefield just on the Georgia side of the Tenessee border and there was this guy who stared at me with a burning hatred.  But other than him, every one else were tremendously friendly.

Actually we are going to Montgomery.  We're only going to be there for a couple of hours while they have a meeting so I doubt we will be able make it to Tuskegee Airfield and be back in time.  I think it would be a cool place to visit though.  Perhaps one day.
