Great news for Old Warden!

Postby C » Mon Nov 27, 2006 2:47 pm

Peter Holloway has bought an aeroplane or two...

...or four...

Press Release

For those not interested in the detailed link, the well publised RLM collection at Fairoaks seemed to enter a lot of bother (involving lawyers etc - that kind of bother) and it appears the assets are being sold.

So, at Old Warden the Jungmann will be joined by new stablemates:

FW44 Steiglitz G-STIG
Bucker Bu181 Bestmann - G-GLSU
Klemm 35D - N5050
Fieseler Fi 156c1Storch - G-STCH

All "real" AFAIK, ie no French license built examples.

Blimey! LOL ;) He told me about the Storch last time I was up there but he kept quiet about the others. Not sure what happened to the Fokker Dr.I replica he purchased earlier this year. I don't know if it's flown yet or if he still has it.

He was also interested in a Miles Hawk of some sort but maybe that one fell through.

The Dr1 was living at the front of Hangar 1 in October in the process of being rigged. :)
