I'm wondering what kind of legs the "Kramer of Seinfield self-destructs during a racist rant at a comedy club " story will have.

Last summer we had one of our 737's flew through a flock of Starlings on approach. We spent the next 4 hours cleaning and inspecting. They where everywhere, stuck to the gear and the bays, in the packs, leading edges and of course the engines. The co-pilot could not see as his screen was covered in freeze dried Starling, not to mention the couple of pax windows that had death smeared across them. All was cleaned and found to be OK. However the local Starling group representative did come over and point out that none of his friends involved in this tragic accident had even the smallest mention in the local paper. He felt that this was totally racist and down to the colour of Starlings and that if it was a bird of another colour then it would have made front page news. Guess the Seagull has proved his point.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Some of the headlines I've seen over the past couple of months could be put directly in The Onion (American satire newspaper with articles like "White House slam dunk competition" and "CEO outsources marrital duties to Mexican groundskeeper"), including "Campaign volunteer slips on wet floor in Virginia," seen on CNN.com on midterm election night.  This is right up there! ;D

When I read the title "Seagull killed in plane collision" I was really hoping they were refering to Steven Segal, the lame actor/martial arts guy.  It would have been a MUCH more interesting story...

Why do we never see "Mosquito killed by passing automobile" headlines?
