[quote]Saratoga, slightly off topic - what's your take on the TriStar? I just have the impression that it was always a popular aircraft with the pilots

Well the Tristar...never flew it. I've flown on them and talked to pilots, and from what I hear they are good airplanes. Pilots say they fly a little heavier than the DC-10, slower on the controls and a little weaker, but good for it's job.

I've flown quite a flew flights on them, and hey, they get off the ground. Isn't that what matters?
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.
