Bad relations between Ukraine and Russia must have contributed. No more Antonov or Ilyushin aircraft ... history moves on.

I've been flying the AN-22 "Antaeus" for MAX Freight virtual cargo airline lately, having lots of fun with it, too.

Not a surprise considering the nature and structure of the aviation industry in Russia. All the design bureau were/are effectively state controlled and Antonov, being Ukrainian in origin, was never going to survive as an indigenous plane-maker.
