What can I say, I enjoy working on very fast kit planes

The old promo video from my employer covering the coolest Lancair model: the Legacy.
Featured is N199L and her fixed gear sister ship...199L still is around in the same scheme looking gorgeous, the fixed gear bird featured sadly was lost.

Every now-and-then we get a little nostalgic here.
RealAir was kind enough to provide me with a license for their Legacy. I must say this is a payware plane one needs in their virtual hanger. Paul, you may find this bird fast enough to your liking! Jet guys will love the speed, piston slow flyers will love how it flies on rails (notice I did not say 'takes off on rails'), and fighter lovers will be very happy with its snappy handling and beautiful performance thanks to a monster 6 cylinder engine. That is 350hp for a plane that typically ends up around 2300lbs maximum weight!

The next classic Lancair promo is of the infamous Lancair IV family:

I say the IV is infamous because it is one of those planes with 0 room for error and a couple dozen people lost their lives not respecting it....but it was and still is the fastest 4 seat GA piston in the world....the fastest of the IV family can do easily over 400mph below 10,000ft! It is the ultimate cross-country airplane. Several in our fleet now have over 2,000hrs of flight time with the original builder (remember Lancair makes plane kits for you folks to build).
