Jerrie Mock has Gone West...

Postby ViperPilot » Sun Oct 05, 2014 3:58 pm

Geraldine 'Jerrie' Mock, the first woman to fly solo around the World in 1964, passed away on Tuesday 9/30/2014 at her home in Quincy, FL.

She accomplished her feat flying a 1953 Cessna 180, registration # N1538C. This airplane is displayed at the National Air and Space Museum.

Blue skies and calm winds, Jerrie.
