Math. The curse of modern man.

The Gimli Glider

"On July 23, 1983, Air Canada Flight 143, a Boeing 767-233 jet, ran out of fuel at an altitude of 41,000 feet (12,000 m) MSL, about halfway through its flight originating in Montreal from Ottawa to Edmonton."

"Fuel loading was miscalculated due to a misunderstanding of the recently adopted metric system which replaced the imperial system."

Nov. 10, 1999: Metric Math Mistake Muffed Mars Meteorology Mission

"A disaster investigation board reports that NASA’s Mars Climate Orbiter burned up in the Martian atmosphere because engineers failed to convert units from English to metric."

And to top it all - my bank account keeps crashing due to math errors! :o :o :o

Up for on?...or Down for on?
