Many thousands of cars that were damaged by the storm are on the auction block. Many of them will be crushed for scrap.

That's a lot of cars. And to think there a probably a few very nice cars in there that may have no issues at all...

The thing is though, if the interior gets soaked with water, they get a horrible musty smell that's tough to get rid of. Years ago I used a garden hose to wash up the carpet in the back of a cargo van (dumb idea #782) and after a couple days it started smelling so bad I had to open the windows to drive it.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
