BBC F1 viewers!!!!

Postby Craig. » Tue Sep 14, 2010 2:52 pm

Big news, finally the magical day is coming, Legard is going to be axed from the BBC F1 coverage :) :) :) :)
No names in line yet to replace him, though some are whispering that, Charlie Cox could be one, Ben Edwards as always is getting a mention, as is, James " I wish I could make a baby with Lewis" Allen. ::)

I'd take James Allen over anyone. The bloke knows his stuff and has the experience of broadcasting.

All hail the Allen!!

Its in the BBC thread on the autosport forums, also making the rounds from some of the lesser known news sites. Pitpass has something on it to.
James Allen I thought did a fantastic job during the final few races of 2008. I dont know if thats because ITV finally let him loose or if he finally just said who cares because he was out of the job. It's just a shame he couldn't have brought that from the start.
If the BBC let him commentate more naturally rather than have him focus on giving time to specific drivers I would be ok with him coming back. I'd love to have Ben Edwards team with Brundle I think they would be a good team.
Apparently back to the story, Martin has finally had enough with the Leg, and he reportedly carries the most weight of all the tv personalities with the beebs higher ups.
I dont blame him, if I never hear "battle has been joined" on a charge" (which I was guilty of saying the other day, I died a little inside) and "up the hill" again it'll be too soon.
