Austin Mini or Tata Nano?

Postby chornedsnorkack » Tue Apr 01, 2008 11:02 am

What is the more comfortable and useful car?

Austin Mini: 305 cm long, 140 cm wide, 135 cm high. 4 seats, 2 doors.

Tata Nano: 310 cm long, 150 cm wide, 160 cm high. 4 seats, 4 doors.

Tata Nano is higher, and this should allow more upright ands comfortable position. Overall roomier...

And the price is Rs 1 lakh. Only slightly over

The Mini ........ a good sound reliable vehicle (if you make sure that the grille is covered so as to protect the electrics during the winter). The Mini is surprisingly roomy and well built.... unlike the Nano who's build quality leaves a lot to be desired.

It will be the Mini because the Nano will not meet European emissions or crash standards. You will have to wait a minimum of 4 years before the next generation Nano will be targeted at the US and Europe according to Tata.

The old Austin Mini was a Rot-Box...like my 1968 Austin/Morris 1100...;)...!

If I'm not mistaken, all old Austin's were Rot-Boxes!... :o...!
