Lost Motorcycle Ignition Key

So the key ring that my motorcycle ignition key was on must have broke, and I can't find it anywhere. Sadly, I never thought to make a backup. What do I need to do to get this resolved? Can a locksmith or bike tech somehow make a replacement, or do I have to get a whole new expensive ignition assembly or something installed by the dealer?

I have a 2007 Suzuki SV650

Go to a Suzuki dealer. If alright they can order a new key for you using the frame and enginenumber. Make sure you take your registration papers with you. If they can't do it, go to a bike tech, let him/her take out the complete ignition assembly and replace it with a second hand one or a imitation part. Suzuki SV's are common bike's so there must be plenty of replacement parts.

Or a screwdriver with a square shaft drive and a monkey wrench would also sort the problem out. There after you just need a key that fits the keyhole ;D ;D

Im not sure if those sv's have a chip in the key that 'talks' to an immobiliser?
If so it will be very expensive im afraid - probably about
