TVR Speed 12

I know it's a moot point now that we have the Bugatti Veyron, but before if came about, the speed 12 by TVR was said to be able to outperform the MClaren F1, but was awaiting the proper test that proved it.

Did this testing ever take place? I know the racer was cancelled due to its class being effectively eliminated, but I was sure the road version had survived. Killed during all of TVR's many buy & sell deals I guess. :(

Just wondering, I always thought it was a scary, yet beautiful beast of a car. One of the few I had an impossible time with in Gran Turismo. ;D ;)

I cannot answer your question Shane, but I had to smile at Top Gear the other week. They at last had a drag race between the Veyron and a McLaren F1. The F1 left the Veyron standing for the first 1/2 mile, but then the Veyron shot off into the distance. Ironically, they pointed out afterwards that the Veyron costs a cool million, but to buy a 15 year old F1 it will cost you an even cooler 2 million ;D

The mclaren every single time for me.
It's a true drivers car. The Veyron, you just get the idea, anyone can jump into go fast and put it round a track with little effort. It fits the same area, as the skylines, new evos/Impreza's of the world. Computers make the driver look good.
The F1, thats a car that makes a good driver look great and a bad driver it'll kill them and eat the remains.

At those speeds I would probably need the nannies.  ;D

I've yet to experience paddle shifters (other than on my 360 wheel  :D )  So I'm not sure how that would be.

I do love the 5 speed in my Laser though.  8-)
