It was a good race, must admit my money was on Montoya, he was by far one of the quickest the whole race and was easily able to move back up front any time he was pushed back.

Same here. ;)   I hope so much, that someday he'll wind up with equipment better suited to his talents.  If he can do that well with sub-par cars, I can only imagine the success he could have in top notch stuff.

Now if only we could get M.S. to come over and shake some stuff up.

Those two would be golden to watch, racing each other again. :)

Heres 3 good reasons why I am denying that was one of the best finishes in motorsport:

2007 12 Hours of Sebring:

Notice all of these races ended without injured spectators or huge wrecks.

Someone else who was watching today commented that they wondered how many of the injured had actually cut themselves shaving that morning, but are injured in order to sue the race promotors for an extortionate amount of money...

Those are all great finishes, but, be it an inch or 24 hours, a race is a race, and any longer than 500 miles and I would probably fall asleep. ;) ;D

I still think it was a great finish, didn't see it coming, it was a total underdog who won for an under financed team. That's what I think makes it great.  The wreck was just a spectacular bonus.

And it's Extremely rare when a spectator is injured at a Nascar racing event.

I've watched since the 80's and don't recall any time since 1987 that it has happened.

But I bet they wait for Bill France to cozy up to them a bit before they sue.

Didn't know shaving could break your jaw.  I'd better be careful next time! ;D

does anyone remember the photo finish at Darlington a few years back, maybe 2002 or 2003?  Don't remember who it was but it involved the Tide Bleach car

Ricky Craven(Tide Pontiac-last win for Pontiac) and Kurt Busch (Sharpie Ford), the greatest, closest finish in Nascar IMO. 8-)
