Paul Newman vomits with rage in his grave...

Thats it, I'm done with american open wheel racing.  I will be following F-1 and ALMS exclusively this coming year, I just can't stand this anymore.  The cars suck, the engines suck, the drivers suck, the management sucks and is now on the level of NASCRAP and demolition derbys.

If you decide at age 35 that you are going to become a race car driver, then you are already marked for failure.  I'm 21 and already consider my chances gone.  Milka must have the thickest skull on the planet if she thinks she is anything more than fodder for purist racing fans to laugh at on forums.

Yes, 35 is a "bit" old, but in this economic climate, sponsorship is sponsorship and if it comes with this:

This;

And this;

Then the bean counters win every time.

Milka is a good sports car racer. She's okay on the road courses and was showing some signs of improvement on the ovals. But she shows no desire to race in indycar. She just appears happy to be there and cruise around at a dangerously slow speed. I'll give her one more season before judging, because as far as I am concerned, Danica isn't exactly that much better.

Either way, one season's money may just be enough.

It's a problem that F1 has always had - F1 has never been full of the best drivers, and topped up with those able to bring cash to the table. If it keeps cars on the grid though, so be it.

Her teammates in Grand Am were consitantly 2 secons faster.  Is that what you call a "good sports car racer"?  As I recall the one of the previous middle aged persons to buy himself a ride was Paul Dana.  How long is she going to be allowed to race before she sends someone flying into the stands a la le mans 1955?

Untill she sends someone flying into the stands.
Indycar officials have signed her off as safe to drive. And since as has already been said, she brings money to the team, little can be done.
I'd much rather see other drivers in that seat.

Yeah, these days I would imagine several drivers creating a "skid row" along gasoline alley, hunched around steel barrel campfires, playing harmonica and blues songs

Going by Matt's photos, knock off the "more season" from the above quote and I'd tend to agree with Craig...
