Can hardly argue with the thought.
Spend your career striving to get to the best cars in the world, hoping one day to be driving for a team like Renault Mclaren or Ferrari. Only to find when you get there, all the cars are the same and quite frankley, not that quick anymore. Why bother with F1? A1GP is less than a qtr of the cost for a driver may as well go there for spec series.
F1 should be about the best cars and the best racers in the world. It should be the pinacle of technology, not oh lets shove a cosworth engine in, let ferrari or mercedes stick a badge on it and pretend its the best thing since sliced bread.
I know people like to say, well if it carries on smaller teams will go, well as far as I am concerned, "dont let the door hit your a*s on the way out" Williams included. Many big names have come and gone and yet F1 has just had its best season in goodness knows how long.

Bernie reminds me alot of Denny Crane.....mostly cus of the mad cow.

seriously though, B.E. has gone off the deep end as of recently.  Unless he's trying to distract the public from the sports financial difficulties

But then we end up with a season looking like a certain American GP. It is all well and good drivers saying things like this, but they are drivers at heart and going to GPA1 or Indy or touring, at this time, it is a step down regardless of the situation at F1 and they know it. The only thing that will make a difference is when the poisoned dwarf sees that the grand stands are empty and F1 ends up on Bravo being shown at 02:00. His new ideas I think are the death of the spectator side of the sport and a withdraw of auto industry interest..........buy a Ferrari, Renualt, Merc or BMW..........now way, it does not have a Cossy under the bonnet ;D. Joking aside, why would a major car/engine producer stay in F1 if their only product was being replaced by a standard unit, unless they are the suppler of course. Being a team that is also an engine would help, so will it be BWM or another team with much more F1 history and clout.

Having just woken up i'm struggling a little to understand what you meant there lol. But last I heard pretty much all the teams are in aggreement now to form a breakaway series if worse came to worse. So in a way maybe it would be good if Moleman and the masked bandit try to push through the ideas, we might end up getting a new series where there aren't the restrictions we have now.
Alonso wouldn't go elsewhere I guess he would retire, what else has he got left to do in F1?

This made me think of NASCAR and the big 3 (who are currently begging congress for dough)
