So, the line up's confirmed:

Commentary from Jonathan Legard of BBC Radio 5 fame(would have preferred David Croft myself, also of Radio 5, but Legard's appointment had been a very open secret!), alongside Martin Brundle.

David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan are the studio pundits, alongside presenter (and this is the bit I find a but Mickey Mouse) Jake Humphrey. Seen Humphrey a bit on footie and Olympic coverage as the "second string" presenter (of highlights and out of hours coverage), and to be fair, I'm not a huge fan, and I hope his appointment doesn't indicate how seriously the Beeb take having the rights back.

Ted kravitz and Lee Mckenzie get pitlane. would have liked to seen anyone but those two, but oh well. Really wish Ben Edwards would get on with taking the F1 job. he's prob the best in the business right now and should be hosting f1, not some second rate A1gp races.
Also Murray Walker is supposed to have a regular part in the BBC F1 site.
Really cant understand why Eddie Jordan is part of it, he's an egotistical jackass.

The difference is, he's probably paid far more by Sky to present A1GP than he would be by Auntie Beeb to do F1.

As Mic says, all presented by a Newsround presenter. Well done BBC.

My only concern is whether or not they will be going to the studio in the race. If not then quite honestly I couldn't care less who's presenting it, It took me a while but realised you dont need to watch the pre-show on both saturday and sunday. Record the saturday one and watch it later in the day, fastforward the crap you dont want to see. Assuming they run a simmilar format to ITV.

I don't care, but I'm glad that Brundle is still in he job, Ted Kravitz..well it could have been worse.. and Lee Mckenzie is quite a looker.. in an odd way.

I'm glad they haven't let Holly "monotone" Samos loose in there..

Anyway, all I want to hear when the BBC broadcast their first race coverage is:

"After 12 years it's back on the BBC.. Formula One" ....then "The Chain" bassline  ;D  8-)

Last I heard the chain was indeed due to be used, it was also used in the test run the bbc did at Brazil.

Not so much a BBC thing but are you guys aware we lose that snorefest that is Fuji and get one of the best circuits back, in suzuka. Now if only china would go away and be replaced by Imola I think things would be much better.

Aye, that news had passed me by til last week, so at least we'll get Suzuka once every two years (do you think the conversation went along the lines of):

Mr Hondaboss: "Meeester Ecclescake, unless Suzuka has Japanese GP at least every other yeear, then no more Honda F1 team"...

To which Bernie-Cake and Toyota (who I assume are feeling a bit of a credit crunch pinch like Honda are) said:


"Go on then..."

i remember it being mentioned when they announced Fuji, it was supposed to alternate every year like the geman venues. Not sure if thats still the case. I hope so. Fuji when it rains can provide a half decent race, but for pure experience and racing nothing beats suzuka, not even spa IMO (Craig ducks and covers) Would loved to have seen 2007's max downforce and traction control cars let loose on it.
