Then again, he would, he'd agree with anything that goes against Hamilton after last year.

More to the point, he'll support anything that gets him a little bit closer to driving that Ferrari ::)

Sounds like somebody is still in a tizzy about last year - grow up Alonso & act like the double world champion you're supposed to be.

Well he wont be getting near that ferrari till after 2010, ferrari have confirmed a years deal to the end of 2010 for Kimi - wether Massa hangs around even with his till the end of 2010 contract is another matter of course.

I wonder if Alonso would have agreed with the penalty if it had been him? The penalty he got at monza a couple of years ago for holding up massa, he wasnt happy about, said f1 was no longer a sport or somthing...

I'm not sure he has the capacity to do so. He's always had the demeanour of a spoilt brat who's always had his way.

Did anyone read the reason why?
Or is it a case of the Brits saw the title and took his whole interview from that. ::)
I dont think he needed to speak out about it. But the reason he gave was the same thing others have said and a valid one.

Well, it was normal Alonsodrivel.

"There were still plenty of laps to go" - what, both of them? Not to mention the impending rain.

Alonso opens mouth, rubbish comes out...

""We need to think that every time a guy goes on this extra asphalt, maybe there was a wall there before; if there was a wall Lewis would have crashed there."

Maybe Alonso needs to watch the closing laps again and see who else was using the run off areas. And maybe look back at the canadian GP from last year, when he was all over the 'extra asphalt'.

Its all well and good saying lewis should have done this should have done that after the event. He should know as well as anyone when the opportunity to overtake comes, you take it.

I might be wrong but were not Massa and Kubica? Or was it Heidi Nickfield? at the fuji race last year, using all the track, the run off areas, the 'extra asphalt' and everything else during that last couple of laps? I dont recall any penaltys there :(
