He appears to have an allen stuck up his backside.
:-X ::)

I'm getting sick of the senna comparisons.
Nothing Lewis did yesterday was Senna like. Senna for one pretty much never had the luxury of fuel stops to help his strategy.
Plus Lewis is only setting himself up for a fall, instead of creating his own legacy, he is putting himself in the shadow of a driver who will forever be on another level, no matter what Lewis will do. It then also annoys a lot of people who can straight away point out the huge differances in the two. And it ends up meaning Lewis will just be another driver instead of someone who may one day be good enough to be remembered as someone who made a differance.

I often wonder what Lewis Hamilton's done in his 23 years to upset you so much Craig... :P ;) ;D

Not Lewis this time.
I finally figured it out. It's James Allen and his constant lewis love fest thats done it. I also understand why so many people get annoyed with Michael Schumacher when I bring him up ;) ;D

If you'll notice I said Lewis could make his own legacy if he finally drops his constant Senna referances. Nothing he can do about Allen constantly compairing the two. But I think Lewis' dad realises this because whenever he is asked if Lewis will be the next Senna, or schumacher he responds with he'll be the next Lewis.
And thats how it should be. Dont compair yourself to perhaps the two greatest drivers especially when you've not even won as many races as Massa who's considered a hit and miss driver who'll not win a championship. Go out there and do the things it takes to put you alongside those two drivers.

Senna never whacked the armco at Monaco and got away with a race win on a plate..

No lol, he just did it in the dry with a huge lead near the end and failed to finish the race. :-X ;D
To give Lewis some credit, his middle stint was a very good drive. It was helped by the Ferrari's being on a stupidly slow strategy but thats racing. Lewis did what he had to win. It was luck but then again some of the greatest drivers have won a race on luck alone.

Isn't it blasphemy to badmouth Lewis in the UK?  Watch out Craig, the government might run you out on a rail ;D

Hmmm i dont think any of this is Hamiltons fault. Allen goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on about the 'senna' thing but i dont really see where hes getting the comparisons from.

We do know Hamiltons 'favorite' and 'hero' is Senna. I dont see anything wrong with that. Hamilton i dont think has ever compared himself to Senna, he does often say that he was thinking about Senna, as im sure he did say after Monaco also.

Thinking about him isnt the same as comparing yourself to him.

I think a lot of what Senna acheived is a little clouded these days, yes he was quite somthing in a racing car, but he had his bad days and sometimes bloody awful days just like every other driver.

As has been mentioned, he threw away an enormous lead and a certain win in '88 with a daft mistake because Prost, who was so far behind, he could have been in a different race, put in a few fast laps....

Also, Schumacher clouted one of those temporay bollards at monza (i think in '96) which had taken out other drivers, but he 'luckily' got away with it and went on to win - Mansell had a driveshaft explode away from the line at the british GP in 1986, but 'luckily' there was a massive pile up that stopped the race and Mansell went on to win, getting past piquet in piquets spare car when he missed a gear.

Just two examples but there are numerous others of how this happened and that happened, but never have i seen one drivers win be put down to 'all luck' as much as Hamiltons . He still had to drive the car like he did to win the race.

Im certainly not in 'Lewis Love fest land' and James Allens inane almost orgasmic ramblings just wind me up, but you have to say that Hamiltons probably the best out and out 'racer' on the grid at the moment.

Given half a chance, if the cars up to the task, it would be hard to bet against him taking on anyone else on the grid and beating them. Hes going to have the odd bad race, as any driver will, and hes going to make mistakes, just like any driver will. It does seem the case though that the tiniest error, any little slip, and hes 'OMG the worst ever and ever' - give the guy a chance! Senna made mistakes, Prost made some howlers, Mansell made mistakes, hell, i bet even Moss and Fangio occsionaly made mistakes!

Hes very Mansell like in this respect, seemingly alone in having the ability to 'make' things happen. Senna i dont think had this ability - usualy he was in the best car and was usualy in front (although some seem to think he spent his entire career in 'dogs' and won simply by being the best ever) although 1993 was a stunning year for senna and made prost look very ordinary....

Alonso had a howler of a race, yet this is put down to 'desperation' even Alonso himself said it didnt matter if they didnt score points (or somthing like that -  i read it over on autosport)

Kimi also had a pretty awful race - but again its 'the cars fault'  the teams fault' or 'bad set up' 'wrong strategy' 'the rain' 'the tyres' etc etc!

Hopefully during the season Hamilton will indeed have a perfect race, in that he wont have the fastest car, he wont start from pole, he wont make any mistakes, and he will overtake several cars on his way to a win. Maybe then, and only then, will all the daft comments and excuses stop. Although im sure then it will be 'he had the best car'..... ::)

The guy seemingly cant do anything right  :-X and you cant blame Hamilton for ITV's reaction, whats printed in the papers, nor anything else outside his control.....

Thats all only my opinion btw!

speaking of great british drivers,
did anyone see the BBC show on the life of Graham Hill last night? Absolutely fantastic watch. Not only a really good driver, but an incredible person. Very funny aswell.
Thats what all drivers should be like.

No, they'll just whack up his car tax to "appease the tree huggers" (or in reality just bump up the coffers).
