Nitrogen in tires?

I've done some basic research online.

It wont make much differance to the handling. The main thing is that its more stable than standard air. So the presure is less prone to changing with temperature. Or so is my understanding. Is it worth it, I can really imagine that it is unless you use your car for racing to be honest. I do a fair few long journeys at high speed and have never had any problems with the standard air.

Not worth it.

Once when I was working at the airport a Cessna 441 Conquest pilot told me to fill the tires with air because he didn't want to wait for a N2 service.

Me too (eh Craig  ;) ), although I find that a 2-3Lb/in2 increase above "standard" pressure helps more on a long high speed (70mph+) journey.

Thanks for all that, I'll skip the nitro and just stick to good ol' air.
