Which car company is better, a Lamborghini, A Porsche or a Micheal Shumacher Ferrari?

Ferrari without a doubt. Porsche are still using the same tired design they used 30 years ago in my opinion. And I really dont like lamborghini's desire to design all their cars using a Straight edge.
Ferrari's not only have the beautiful curves, but there is no better sound than their V8 engine in my opinion. Although that V12 is a close second.

Porsche without a doubt.  Ferraris are overpriced overhyped overstyled tacky jewelry.  :)  Ferrari as a company caters to the wealthy, not the enthusiast.  They sell cars to those they consider stylish enough to sell cars to, reserving some of their creations to invitation only purchase.

Porsche on the other hand is an enthisiast's best friend.  They'll sell anything to anyone with the means to pay in a non-pretentious atmosphere.  They build cars better suited for the track than any other marque (I've been told from race mechanics that Porsches, out of the box, make better track cars than anything on the road, and are more adjustable in the way a track car needs to be).  Porsche sponsors the best national clubs for their owners, the USA Porsche Club is the best single marque club out there, running the best track days at the best tracks.  Porsches also retain a lot of romance and motor racing influence.  Ignitions remain on the left side of the steering wheels recalling the days of the running LeMans start.  Their highest end car has a wooden gear shift knob as this was used on many famous Porsche race cars to save weight.  Porsche also supports amature, semi-pro, and pro racers better than any marque.  You can simply purchase a race ready 911 and be competitive in just about any sports car series while knowing the development work is done for you.  Other car companies sell built race cars but none as well developed as their 911, making this often the cheapest, easiest car to campaign in just about any series (it's no wonder the LeMans grid is so chock full of 911s).  Porshces, indirectly factory supported, run in just about every sports car series and Porsche as a factory effort have finally returned to racing after a long time absence.  Compare with Ferrari which basically only supports F1 leaving it up to their customers to build and develop cars for other series.

As for their current models, I think the 911 has become too refined, with only the GT3 cars offering what should be the car's quintessential sporting nature.  The rest are very, very nice GT cars but overly weighted towards luxury IMO.  The Boxster is often called (by magazines) the most fun to drive car on the market, and the similar tin top Cayman is a great vehicle.  I have a hard time calling the Cayanne a Porsche, it's more of a VW.  But it's a cash cow and has allowed Porsche to do some wonderful things with the money.

Also Porsche runs a much higher profit (in pure dollars and in % of sales) than Ferrari...

They are in a different price category from Ferrari and Lamborghini though, so comparisons aren't fair.

Ferrari have come on a lot on the last 10 years. No longer do their cars look like door stops. Lamborghini, do look solid though, and even they've started introducing some curves into their designs. Porche, as stated arn't really comparable, as they make half sensible cars while Ferrari and Lamborghini make the most rediculous and obcene vehicles imaginable.

Thats the whole point of a supercar.

For reliability it has to be Porsche.
For style my money is with Ferrari.
For a tractor I'd say the Lamborghini... of course that is their origin

Ferrari have dabbled in tractors too. As did David Brown who is the DB in Aston Martin.

Porche have made battle tanks though, and they wern't all that reliable.

And Dr. F. Porsche designed the Beetle! Nuff said

Car company? That one is easy and non-debatable. Porsche is the most profitable, and biggest company.

As for which company makes the best car. . .that is debatable. Which company makes the cars that I wish to own? Porsche. I have owned two so far (944 for amateur track days and an older 930). My dad has owned Porsches for several years too (recently sold his 993 Turbo and bought a 06 Cayman S). So all in all I am a little biased on this topic. Porsche to me is the ideal blend of hardcore track tuned performance with some daily drivability still intact (they also have a huge motorsports background that can rival ferrari). There cars are very nice looking without being too flashy, and their price is reasonable (as sports cars go; 997 Turbo for $110K!). Also, in my expiriance, Porsche tends to be exteremly reliable. Ferrari has the racing heritage, but they are still a very small company. There street cars are built to subsidize their race cars. The street cars are extremely flashy, extremly unreliable, and are built more for sound and prestige rather than for speed (there are exceptions). Add to that a small dealer network and a huge price tag, it turns me away a bit. Lamborghini makes some beautiful looking (and sounding!!) machines, but there are some problems. First, Lambos are "over-the-top" flashy (colors they make: yellow, orange, neon green. . .) . They also have next to no motorsport heritage, and they are still using the same v12 block that they used on their first non-tractor project. Their old cars use to be widow-makers (althought the same thing can be said about the older 911s), and there current cars are grossly overweight and overpriced.

I do dream about someday owning a 599GTB or a LP640 Roadster, but those will be mainly toys to drive on the weekend. Ferraris and Lambo's are flashy status objects while a Porsche is a purpose-built tool.

Porsche - mmm, sterilised by the VW Audi family... Remind me, what was the point of that Cayenne thing again? About as pointless as Lambo's Chelsea tractor of many years back...

The only Ferrari that I have ever driven was a Ferrari 75s.........a two wheeled walking tractor.......but it was a Ferrari

The point of that Cayenne thing was to break into the US's love of SUVs by attempting to marry an SUV body with Porsche performance and styling. In my opinion, they failed horribly, not because they made a mistake, but because a sports SUV, WTF??!!!
