I think thats a load of rubbish, and unfair even to Mclaren. If they are found guilty they not only start off with a points disadvantage but the challenge of building a new car in 4 weeks. I cant understand why after yesterdays hearing and closure to that side of things, they dont just end it all now, when they can and start next season fresh. It's a farce, even moreso than before.

I smell an FIA induced rat. Are they trying to push McLaren out of the sport so Mercedes take their business elsewhere - or in house?

To be fair, we are now in the new year as far as F1 is concerned as its the start of the 07-08 season.

Did you really expect any different. They where always going to find something. F1 is so inbred with mechanics and designers jumping one ship to go to the next that there will always be an amount of crossover technology. One question though. How come what is now last seasons car plans of McLaren in the hands of Renault are of no value, but last season Ferrari plans in th hands of McLaren are?

I'll be honest, I hoped that this would just now be swept under the rug, I wanted to at least believe the FIA and Max Mosley would at least save face and show they were not out to get Mclaren, by giving them a pass and a fresh start. We all know my dislike for Mclaren (or mainly Ron Dennis) but I think its now to a point where even I have to say, give the guy a break. People constantly say, Oh the FIA are on Ferrari's side, but the reality is for much of the late 90's early 00's the FIA were constantly looking for a way to stop Ferrari, new regs, new engines, new tyre rules, new quali rules. All brought in to stop and slow down the Ferrari dominance. The only problem was, Ferrari were smart enough to hire both lawyers and team members who knew the sporting rule book inside out, so quite honestly could cheat by sticking a V-12 turbo charged engine in the car and still get away with it (they never went that far but just to the absolute limit of what was allowed). It would seem, Mclaren are still so set in their old ways and have not bothered to hire those people, or memorise the rule book right down to the incorrect comma on page 238, line 4.

You have a very good point Craig. The FIA did go after Ferrari, but Ferrari pushed the rules to the point of stress fractures appearing but without actually breaking them. What is being done to McLaren though, that almost amounts to plain and simple nastiness. I am convinced that there is an element (no I did not miss out the "s") that does not want McLaren to race. It is like a personal vendetta.

Just like the Ferrari, they have a wing both front and rear and I bet they have gear shift paddles on the steering wheel too
