To be fair, there are several cars out now that use cardboard. The M3 CSL has its trunk/boot lined with the stuff to save weight. The Noble I believe also uses cardboard.
The car itself isn't that bad. It's just an Fxx morphed with a F430 then redesigned to appeal to the tree hugging masses of hollywood. It probably wont see production for a long time though.
