Well, I suppose now theres a possibility that F-1 could go to a decent track in the US, but don't F-1 circuits have to have a certain number of seats?  I would love to see Laguna Seca, Brassleton Ga, Infinion, or Salt Lake to be on the list

I dont thnk certain number of seats seem to be problem in the US sadly. I liked Indy but there are much better circuits in the us that they could use, that list and also Watkins glen would be a nice addition.

Its all about how much cash the promoter can give Mr Bernie. I've never understood why the prices at Silverstone are so high when only this year they've had a virtually sold out event. In the early 90s, general admission was half the price, and amazingly well over 100,000 would turn up regularly!

I am pissed!!! I'm only 15, but I have been wanting to go to a race at indy ever scince I learned there was a race at indy. I got  A summer job so i could buy tickets for me and pay for myself for everything . Why cant the FIA be run like a democracy. have all the teams and track owners get together and decide what action to take.
Good news is that i heard there maybe a US GP in '09
And where are they going to have the 3 races the FIA got rid of, some say India, but honestly I don't think it will do well there, atleast not comparet to France, US, and Belgium.

I can see why Bernie Doesent want to come here, the price of shipping a 1300 pound car and alits crew and equipment can be very pricey, espicially for the smaller teams like Super Aguri Honda.

Well couple of points really.
Bernie doesn't care about the costs to ship these things. Thats the teams problem as far as he's concerned. All Bernie cares about is how much money he can make from these races. Sadly as Tony George said, Bernie needs to change his approach if he wants to market F1 to the general American audience.
Belgium is back so thats little worry.
France, there are plans in the works for a race closer to Paris, but that could be a few years.
New races will include, Singapore next year. Abu Dhabi in 2009 (I am really wanting to go to this race, from everything I've seen of it, it'll be amazing) I believe there will be others. I am not certain though whats been signed and whats still in the planning and negotiating stages.
Oh yeah, Valencia I believe is next year aswell.

Well, that's why the US GP was scheduled to follow the Canadian GP. If the teams are already on the North American continent may as well have both races sequencially to save the teams some money.

Correct, and here's how it went, in a nutshell.
Tony: OK Bernie, I currently give your organization 5 million dollars for this event, I suppose I could pay a little more keep it here.
Bernie: Right you are Tony. I'm thinking 15 million and more money spent on promoting. Also, I no longer want to see Indy 500 banners flapping about during the event.
Tony: 15 million, eh? Well, Bernie, don't let the the door hit you in the arse on your way out!

All of this is sad, but true. only if i could travel the world to see all the other great races out there, I'll just have to sit on my couch and watch the action there.

Just be patient and wait, the usgp will be back.
I'm now signed up for the british gp next year and I have to come up with $600 for the 3 day ticket. the USGP is generally a lot cheaper.

Unfortunately, ISC owns Watkins Glen and they already let the IRL have a race there. I seriously doubt if the France Empire would be interested in a Grand Prix, unless they figure they could make millions.
It would probably take a track that is privately owned, like Indianapolis, and devoted to open-wheel racing to get the USGP back here. Something tells me Bernie may fill that spot on the schedule with a Mexican GP.
