I had a video a while back of an F40 on a dyno, soooo impressive. you think the guy is red lining it in each gear until he puts it into top gear and it just keeps on wailing all the way upto 8,500rpm. Sounds alot nicer than the corvette too, that sounded awful at idle

Yup, that vette seemed a bit lean to be idling like that (could be another problem, but is sounds like the a/f mixture was out of wack). Sounds like a Harley till he gets on it.

Sound like it had a dragster engine in it and if that is the case, it would be normal-ish

Sounds like a bored out and cammed (high lift, long duration) LS6 to me. . .
