mm well done.
Kind of a crapper for the championship that Alonso and Schumi both went out. No excuse from Ferrari, they could have pitted and gotten much needed points. Lets hope this is the first of many for Jenson, Incredible drive in such tough conditions.

A win long over due.

Cat amongst the pigeons:

Shumi lost his nose on Alonso's rear wheel. They where both in the corner togther, doing the same speed and "oops" Shumi has to flick it to the left. Had his front wheel made contact with Alonso' rear, that would have spun Alonso out.............when you have previous, it makes one think.

Actually he didn't flick it to the left, his car on every single corner was oversteering badly, if you watch the onboard from alonso when he was following him the Ferrari was going absolutly every direction except straight on out of the corners. Schumachers in no position to take Alonso or himself out of the race to save or help the championship right now, he's back to needing Massa or other drivers help now as it is. Now what he did with De la rossa thts slightly differant, he should have just let him by, but cutting him up after slowing to let him by was just dangerous. And I think may get him a penalty for the next one.

It was actually Fisichella that schumi collided with, and yes it was ue to him having awful oversteer. Any F1 driver worth his salt would expect to come out of that collision worse off if it was intentional, plus as it was fisichella, even if schumi was playing dirty he would have absolutly no gain.

That is quite possibly the greatest GP I have seen in a looooong time. With various penalties shaking up the grid and the prospect of rain I was glued to the tv! (Im not usually a fan of the hungarian GP - funny how things change)

Schumacher and Alonso's (and Button's, to a certain extent) first laps were incredible. Reminiscent of Senna at a very wet Donnington Park track some years ago.

I will admit to letting a little smile crack out when I saw Raikonnen retire, but was heartbroken for Alonso's retirement and Schumachers misfourtune. How is it he can battle away with De La Rosa for several laps but the first battle with heidfeld, he gets bashed and terminally damaged!? Poor bloke. He deserved so much more from that race!

But good old Button! I could hardly breath for the last 12 laps of that race knowing Jens was at the front! Did anybody else expect his engine to emmit a large plume of white smoke while he turned the final corner? Now he has his monkey off of his back, lets see some more top-step podium action from the Brit!

(If we have DNFs from alsono and schumi and wins from Button for the rest of the season he could win the championship ;))

Yeah, well done to Jenson, considering what he was up against (starting inbetween Alonso and Schumacher, plus the fact that those BAR Honda's engines like to go boom often :D)

Thats EXCACTLY what I was thinking when I watched it live - half expected Schumi to be leading at the end of the 1st lap.

On another note, I titled thid thread 'The Boy Done Good!!!' immediatley after the race - imagine my suprise when I watched the race highlights in the evening, saw them interview John Button & his exact words were 'The boy done good' - LOL, I was shocked,

The papers seem to be running the "Jenson failed his driving test" story today...

...only about 6 years after it was first in the news... ::)
