The Italian Job was remade in 2003 starring Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron (and I think it was rubbish).

I thought the new one was pretty good.  I'd have to see the original (I usually see the original before going to see a remake but I didn't for this one) before I compare them but I would imagine the original was better.

The only problem with the 2003 Italian Job was the original. If it wasn't for that it would have been a fairly decent film but it could never live up to what it was pretending to be.

That chase scene was good but, the best car chase in a film was the one in " Bullitt " with Steve McQueen.

Steve was in a 1968 Ford Mustang GT and the bad guys were in a 1968 Dodge Charger.

The best Chase scene in my opinion!! ;)

That one gets major points for: the star driving; excellent driving all around; good editing. And the GT. Drool... and remember the dune buggy sequence in the original Thomas Crown Affair?
But if you've never seen It's a Mad, Mad. Mad. Mad World, check out the stunt driving: not really amazing chases, just some really crazy crashes, under conditions and with equipmentthat would have today's stunt men walking off the set in outrage. And nobody was seriously hurt... ;D
The stunt flying in that film is even crazier...  :o

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is a great movie.  Tons of stars.  It's the only time you get to see the Three Stooges in color.

And as for the 68 GT in Bullitt---  Double Drool!!!! :)

I had a 68 GT but, it was a coupe.  I like the fastback.
