Reliant Robins: the car to have.

In London now apparently the ultimate vehicle is the Reliant Robin. This strange choice is for the following reasons:

1: It's a three wheeler and therefore does not have to pay the congestion charge.
2: Being a three wheeler it cannot be towed as tow trucks are only designed to tackle cars with four wheels.
3: It cannot be clamped as the wheels are two small for the clamps.

It's also fairly small so it can fit in tight spaces.

It also has the added bonus that the police are not allowed to use it's stinger antityre device against anything with less than four wheels inless lethal force has been authorised.

So what are you waiting for? Go buy one! ;D

There's one glaring inacuracy in those facts. They can be towed or more accurately lifted. You need special lifting equipment but most of the removal vehicles in London have the equipment to hand. The same equipment is used for lifting older Citroens that have been lowered on their suspensions.

If you want something thats almost impossible to lift then try a Volkswagon LT45 van. The fuel tank runs the length of the van under the floor with no baffles. If the van is anything less than full then the fuel sloshing about makes them really unstable and hard to balance on the crane.

I reckon you still can't beat a T-72!
Clamp? Tracks make it tricky!
Tow? Like anything they've got is strong enough!
Lift? Ever seen a flatbed with a hernia? ;D
Parking? No problem you can park on top of anything you like!
Traffic wardens? What do you think a 155mm gun is for? ;D

Insurance wouldn't be all that bad as lets face it you're not going to lose in a pile-up ;D The worst that could happen is the paint gets scratched!

You'd never get insured for damages caused by the tank though. :P

It should be old enough to not need to pay road tax if you purchased a tank of the right age... ;)

Aye if it's over 30 years old it's classed as a classic and therefore exempt from road tax.
