It could be. I hope so, it would make a nice change. I dont think it would help Ferrari all that much, Schumi might be the best wet weather driver since Senna but that Ferrari has no grip, something needed for the rain. Whereas mclaren and its setup could be even faster.

if this turns out to be the case i seriously hope they all consider new careers.
I remember back when Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna raced in rain that created pools upto their ankles, they would still be side by side at 200mph, with safety being so much worse. soft, absolutley soft.

Jackie Stewart is not really the best example you could have provided.  He vied for safety regs throughout his career, and didn't even drive his last race because his teammate was killed

Craigs right, not only do the drivers whinge more, they also have the safest cars & best medical facilities in the history of Formula 1 - not like the good old days.

Oh- & Jackie Stewart's quest for new safety regs began after he was nearly killed in an accident at Spa where there were inadequate medical facilities.

I don't understand what you mean by that duck?

Germany 1968 could've been a powerboat race because the rain was so bad, the tyres were no-where near as good as todays tyres & the medical facilities were next to non-existant (& drivers were paid a pittance) - but everybody raced.

By comparison, Spa 2005 was a walk in the park, with (as you said) a damp track, the wet weather (& intermediate) tyres are excellent these days & the medical back up is second to none(& drivers are paid a fortune) - & still they complain about racing there.

You can't compare the two.
