I've heard about this. The funny thing is it would be cheaper to buy an original frame and chassis (actually, they don't even have frames). A year or so ago I sold a 1969 Camaro hard-top rolling chassis for right about $2000. It needed a little body work and one of the fender accessories-but it was otherwise a complete hard-top '69 Camaro rolling chassis, it even had a differencial (10-bolt of course). Plus, it even had the original firewall trim tag-something these reproductions won't have (since it is an option tage).
I suppose my point is, if I was to have put $14,000 into this car-since I sold it for $2000 that would be $16,000 total (as if I had that kind of money ::)) I would be pretty close to having a finished hot rod-plus it would have been an original car. Where as, I would only have the chassis for $16,000 from this company.
I agree that it is a cool idea, especially since they are making them out of metal instead of fiber-glass (lilke most "kit" type cars). But, it seems like buying an original rolling chassis would be a much cheaper and more desirable way to go.
