Schumi Sweep

Well as strange as it may sound, michael schumacher's run is actually bringing interest too the sport, And even bernie ecclestone has mentioned this. They are basically now watching to see if Schumacher can do a clean sweep of the season, something which has never been done. I have to say that if he can win at Monaco then yes he will get a clean sweep, monaco is the only circuit which is truely anybodys race. While i know most people here dont like him, i personally back this new twist and if it helps bring back fans i am all for it. Screw making engines smaller and cars slower. This is F1 not F3000

Well being a Ferrari fan all I can say is long may it continue as we are watching history in the making at the moment. And Craig I totally agree with you this is F1 after all not F3000 its meant to be the best of the best, it almost seems like the FIA want to cut every bit of technology out and have them like F3000 cars but just abit quicker, I say bring back the slicks and no traction control.

I don't really think that taking the technology and making the engines smaller will make any difference... The way engine and gearbox design is going will far outweigh any restrictions that are placed on the teams.
In the early 80's they got rid of turbos .... the cars got faster .... in the 90's they got rid of traction control and the cars got faster .... so it goes without saying .... smaller engines .... the cars will still go faster.

As for Schumi ......... he just gets faster and faster ... hes got nothing to loose and is just enjoying himself.

cheers
