this circuit wont favor either tire company, its going to be very dusty and that mean slippery, which would suggest michelin, however its also going to be dry and hot when its slippy, which will kill the michelin tires, which wear out very quickly when hot. I would imagine the Bridgestone runners will run a soft compound on a 2 stop strategy for tires. And the Michelin will prob run a hard compound on a 3 stop, but since this is a new GP altogether we shall see. Suffice to say barring any accidents or pitstop mishaps we shall be seeing at least 1 ferrari on the podium, most likely first. The Mclarens wont do anything again, the Renaults maybe, the BAR team should be up there, and the williams should keep the ferraris within 10 seconds, if they can do that and they do go for a 3 stop option, they may stand a chance of a win. Williams have the slight advantage of driving 25 laps of the circuit during its opening, but even they said the grip is not bad, but if there is a sandstorm alot of drivers will struggle.
I predict a repeat of malaysia result if there isnt a sandstorm, if there is. All bets are off lol

Im really looking forward to it aswell it will be really good to have a completly new GP where not much testing etc has been done. My prediction is 1-M schumacher 2-JP Montoya and 3-F Alonso. Just one more more thing I HATE having 2 tyre companies in F1 races shouldnt be decided on who has what tyres and what races-Thats just my pet hate!

I remember the days when there where more than 2 tyre companies competeing .... michelin ... goodyear....pirelli... and dunlop hows that for choice. If you want one tyre one engine racing then you have to goto the lower formulas.
As for predictions for the next race .... its anyones because its unfamiliar territory but the stronger teams will come out on top...
There hows that for hedging ya bets ::)

Wouldnt it be odd if the only rain bahrain gets happens during the race-happened in CART 2 times in a row in Australia.

IF it rains there... they will hold the race a day later because the whole circuit gets flooded.
But the chance is small, as the rain season (December-February) is as good as over.

well, after first practise the Ferraris are up there again. And the michelins are sustaining punctures left and right.
