I don't know much about the Mustang, so cannot comment on it. I had the pleasure of riding in a brand new 1964 white Ford Mustang, in June 1964, owned
by a lady friend's uncle, so new it still had that new-car odor we all love.

It certainly has been a successful auto over the years.

I think they were introduced as an afordable sporty machine for the hip age crowd and morphed into the muscle car in three short years. I had a 66 Mustang with 3 speed on the floor and enjoyed every minute of it.

Its pretending to be a Ferrari... ....

Mustangs have always been a sporty looking car. I remember when they came out and started hitting the streets, real eye catcher, nice strong 289 engines, the smaller frame and lighter body gave the car a quickness. Then later with the 351 Clevlands, 302 Boss Mustangs, Shelby Mustang, Saleen Mustang, I believe they even threw a FORD 429 Hemi into one.

Anyway if I'm not mistaken here, the Mustang is considered a 1964 1/2 Mustang for the 1st year of production. Thanks for posting a FORD always appreciated, never get tired of looking at FORDS

I was teasing my grandmother once that I was a teenager when the Mustang was first introduced to America. She chuckled and said, "The Ford Model T was a couple of years old when it was I was born in 1911" and when she got married in 1925 at the ripe old age of 14; the Ford Model A was still had a couple of years before it was introduced.
