Impressive! Sort of reminds me of a 1904 Woodruff. Did you notice the speedometer... it was in KNOTS.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Did I hear correctly? The gearbox... in wood? :o

And with a lorry engine (the only reference I can find to a FIAT 145 is a FIAT/Iveco lorry), I cannot but question the life time of the cogs.

Curious hobby.

.... :D ....!

I see lots of "gearbox" belt drives... ;) ..!

I suspect that its very similar to the obsession of sitting in a comfy chair and pretending to fly aeroplanes using a computer and some fancy software... ....!

Can't come up with any punderful comments on this one, but some lyrics from Jan & Dean's 1963 tune 'Surf City' come to mind:

"I bought a '30 Ford wagon and we call it a woody" & "Well it ain't got a back seat or a rear window, but it still gets me where I wanna go".

Wonder if they have a woodpecker clause in their insurance policy.

Woody Allen would have a lot to say about this one.

Yes I wood like to own a car like that. It's not very practical for daily use. But just to pick up a newspaper and a fresh loaf of bread in the morning wood be fun...

Hey, I said "curious" hobby, because it is. I did not use a demeaning term, nor meant it as such. :hand:

As long it's legal and it makes you happy, who am I to tell you not to spend your time and money trying to build a wooden A380 with working turbofans built in balsa and hardwood inserts for the combustion chambers. :confusion-shrug:

I hope trying to win a Darwin Award is not on the list.
