Scania, I never did figure out how European shipping companies could get away with canvas-sided trailers. If you took one of them into a US city, the truck would be empty at the first red light...

When I was servicing equipment, two of our clients, both lumber companies, used canvas sided trailers. Never had any problem with them being vandalized. However, I did once see an incompetent truck driver rip one open when he ran his trailer alongside the canvas of one trailer. The driver, from a rent-a-moron pool, naturally denied any wrong-doing on his part. The trailer was brand spankin' new, awaiting pick up by the customer, who was not a happy camper when he found out. It being a silk-screened unit and the graphics having been done in California didn't help either.

Vince, when I saw the pic of your 205 GTI, I thought 'Awsome! A GTI that has been kept original & tidy, even with the proper alloys on it, ace!' I loved it, I always wanted one of those. Then when I scrolled down, my heart sank to see it such a sorry state, all due to some scumbags who couldn't be bothered to work hard to buy their own things. >:( >:( >:(

Sorry to see your GTI all bashed up, it was so cool when it was in working order.
