Indeed, very well driven by Lewis. The season just got interesting.
Trulli a star, only for the fact he did keep it on the track.
Ferrari, no shock there, its become clear over the last year or two, when it comes time to make a decision, they dont have the drivers or tacticians to take a chance. Massa could have picked up a point if he would have taken the chance on full wets right from the start of that heavy shower, when Rubens took the switch.
Poor Kovi, doesn't ever seem to want to work for him..

Rubens has to be my driver of the day though. that car is an absolute dog and he just drove a perfect race.

Got to give it to him for the move on Alonso. How many times had Alonso taken that line to ultimately get through Luffield quicker? Then he takes the "normal" line whilst Heikki goes the long way round!

Indeed, it was a good move, I think something finally clicked and he showed the aggressiveness he's been missing.

Too right. Yet again the team that used to win all the races like this, fails to make the right desicions......

Awesome display from 'cracked under pressure' Hamilton, ive no doubt though over on autosport they will find some reason to bash him

And massa, if anyone cracked under pressure, it has to be him. What an awful day he had.

Nice one from Barrichello, good to see him back on the podium.

To be fair, had Kimi not been left out on old tyres it wouldn't have been 66 seconds. And Had Rubens been filled to the end I think he may have given Mclaren a lot to worry about..
Lewis drove a great race, but his victory margin came down to circumstance and decisions that were made. I said in my prediction post I thought he might have done it, shame I didn't go with my gut feeling.
Here's to Germany, I think things will be back to normal.

maybe so but we will never know. Later in the race, when they were on similar tyres after the second stops, Hamiltons pace was somtimes several seconds faster than anyone else!

Barrichello could have won this race, moreso than Kimi, i think, if we go down the 'if' and 'but' route.

Hamilton mentioned in the PC that Barrichello overtook him - although i dont recall seeing that? When did it happen? Just before Barrichellos last stop? Or After Hamiltons second stop?

I dont think Kimi could have won the race at all. I just think it would have been closer.
Barrichello passed Lewis a couple of laps after he stopped for wet tyres, he was a lap down and something like 8 seconds a lap faster. Got him going down hangar straight, thats why I thought at that point Massa had nothing to lose. If Rubens was that quick and a lap down, Massa being in a simmilar situation could have salvaged some points.
Again I dont think Rubens could have beaten Lewis, but certain put him and Mclaren in a position with 10 laps to go, of certainly having to push a bit more than he was by that point.
As you say though its all if's and buts, all of which wont change the result. It was a really good race, and a shame that we dont get more like that.

Way to go Lewis! Nice to see the kid win one at home! It sure was nice to get to see this race in HD for once.... here in the states, they usually have it on "speed" channel which is not hd. Not to mention all they ever show when F1 isnt on is Nascrap. Back to the race.... being that I work for American Honda.... I give a big well done to Rubens!

Another ive heard is that whoever wins the Canadian GP usualy wins the title. Ok it didnt work out last year, but this year!

What a race, superb drives by Lewis and Rubens, Nakajima had a good race too.

Results will be up as soon as I can, I'm a bit busy this week as I'm decorating, carpeting and moving into a new house so time is at a premium, bear with me  ;)
