Went out for a ride this morning on the bike slightly cold but enjoyable nonetheless when the sun eventually came out.

Dave...

Can you send some of your sunshine over to my side of the country.
I need a bit more warmth!

Off to Abergavenny (Wales) with the Bikers tomorrow (Sunday), weather permitting.
Bike prepared, tyres checked, gassed and oiled, video camera fitted...

...just need Sun!... :D ...!

Good luck and have a safe trip and look forward to your pictures. I'm spoilt my bike has heated grips two heat settings and a 12v socket for satnav or heated jacket insert BMWs idea of a sports bike does have advantages when our weather gets unpredictable.

Hello Biker Chums and ethusiasts!.... ....!

Its Sunday the 18th of October, on a dull, rather cool morning at 10*C... ...!

My lovely Sister is visiting me today from London, to enjoy one of my World-renowned, Fabulous, Sunday Dinners....(Always worth the journey).... ;) ...!

...so no live biking tours today!.... ;) ....!

Instead, how about a recent 24 mile trip from Hereford in England to Abergavenny in Wales....

...this time, recorded in black and white, on my Yamaha RX-S 100, 98cc, 2-stroke, Speed-mobile, to remind me of my Biking tours in the early 1950's on the very same journey astride my trusty 1949 Royal Enfield 350 Bullet.....>>>>

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dtwv746u1d1mh ... 1.mp4?dl=0

A journey back in time, along familiar roads, when there was very little traffic on the roads, and tyre punctures were quite common due to Boot Studs and Horse-shoe nails littering the highway...not forgetting the ever present loose gravel on the corners guaranteed to unseat one at every opportunity!
...and shiny "plastic" motorcycle tyres on wet roads!... :o ...!

Its a time when the whole World was black and white, and colour hadn't jet been invented, so far!.... ....!

A journey into my distant past, which I fondly remember so well!

Enjoy it, as much as I did at he time!.... :D ...!

Paul....Winding the clock in time back to 1950!.... ...!

P.S...adjust your volume carefully...lots of Brake Squeal!.... ...!

P.P.S...Note the British Traffic light colour sequence:

Start:
Red.
Red and Amber. (Get ready to Start).
Green. (Go).

Stop:
Green.
Amber. (Get ready to Stop).
Red. (Stop).

Great video Fozzer, the black and white was a nice touch. Took me back to when there was only 3 channels on the T.V. to watch, sometimes 4 on a good clear day  I just noticed that I have the same gloves as you do. My wife bought them for me a few years back (26 years ago she tells me :? ). They sure are warm and cosy. I like the rain guards that pull out of the top of the wrist to keep them dry in the wet weather ten can be tucked back away when not in use.

Oh yes, it's -3c and cloudy here today so I don't see myself going out on the bike today <<u I have secured a place to let her sleep for the winter but have not gotten her out yet. I think soon though as I am not fussy about driving a bike in the snow  a little hard to keep her standing up

I was thinking of putting the bike away for winter but today is warm and sunny in Lincolnshire so it will get a reprieve for now until it gets cold again.

The trouble for me, is that I gave up Motoring with my car (too much traffic!) some 25 years ago, and my only means of daily transport anywhere since then has been my various Motorcycles, come rain or shine!

No Traffic jams on two wheels.....I just get cold and wet in the Winter!

No chance of parking up my Bike!

Hey Paul...Ya must have one fast scooter!!! Capable of time travel. I refer you to your earlier entry quoting here,... "June the 21st, 1966.

A date I will never forget.

It was the morning that I looked out of my Bedroom window onto my front garden path, to see all that was left of my beautiful, 1992, £7,000, Black and red, Honda CBR 600 FM Supersport, was a shadow on the ground, just to remind me that it was there the day before!"
June 21 of 1966,and you had a 1992 Honda...hahaha.
Should enter that baby in the Bonneville Salt Flats races ! Sure to be a crowd pleaser! ;)
Have a good day bud !!

Don't I wish we still had time to correct our daft spelling, etc, mistakes.

But no...The Webmaster takes great delight in laughing at them, whilst blocking all our attempts at corrections.... ....!

Paul..... ... ....!

In 1966 I was riding my 650cc BSA A10 Super Rocket Café Racer, and 1,000cc Vincent HRD Rapide.... :D ...!

I can appreciate the trouble with the electronics world,..the web,...facebook,twitter and all the rest. If I had as many glitches when I was working,I'd been out of a job more than working. Sometimes,I'll have to re-enter a comment several times just for it to stick once. Quite a few times, (and I forget which site I was on) , I would be typing a simple comment and the site would reject my attempt to enter it,..stating it was spam. So,to eliminate that problem,I had to go back and add extra spaces between the last letter of each sentence, and the period of each sentence. Frustrating,LOL. For as smart as the computer world pretends to be,it gets pretty ignorant at times,...and all we can do is laugh (while loading my 45 and practice aiming at the screen, ).

Reading Stephan's post reminded me of some electronic trouble that I had with my 82 650 Turbo Yamaha, overheating wiring which took me a month to trace to a blown resistor on a board tucked up under the dash of the bike. At that time no one around here would work on a turbo charged bike so I ended up having to buy the shop manuals and do all of the work on the bike myself, interesting but what a pain.

I can remember in the 1970's and 1980's, the Motorcycle press always advising against getting a "turbo" version of a Motorcycle!

...always asking for expensive trouble, they reckoned!

....if you wanted something to go really fast on...( and die)....you got a big, 3-cylinder, 750cc, 2-Stroke!.... ...!

Amazing creatures...2-strokes, on full song!!.... ...!

There's nothing quite like a lung-full of 2-stroke exhaust fumes first thing in the morning...with a mug of coffee!.... ...!

Paul....stroking my little Yamaha... :D ...!

...she drinks petrol and oil like there's no tomorrow!!..... :o ....!

Other than that one time I had no problems with the bike. I was able to sweeten it up a bit by connecting the waste gate to the choke cable thus having full control of the boost pressure. Doing this made the boost gauge on the bike useless so I had to install a pressure gauge on the outlet side of the turbo and mount it on the dash where you could see it easily. This done created other problems when the overcharge valve popped at 14 psi. I got around that by removing the valve and blocking the port but once done you had to watch the pressure closely because it would build fast and go past 14 psi quickly and blow the head off the bike. The highest I ever took the pressure was up to 20 psi then backed off as this caused the clutch to slip as it was not designed for that much power. Before I sold the bike I returned it to original as I didn't want the young guy I sold it to to blow up the engine.

So, Tug... ;) ....

...was it really worth all the effort?... ...!

I mostly like leaving things as standard....

...including the internal bits of my Computer!

Paul... ...!

Its just my little Flight Sim Cessna 150 that is exhaust driven turbocharged... and the results are always in my imagination!.... ...!
