SimV F1 posting

Postby expat » Wed Dec 16, 2009 1:59 pm

Before the new season starts, we need to clear a small point up. Does F1 belong in the Auto's forum or will we be moved into the Sport forum? We could end up being "moved" or we could end up with some people posting in one and some in others. I am for it remaining here along with our SimV Fantasy F1. What do the rest of you think along with MOD thoughts too.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

It really depends on whether F1 is regarded as a sport. I think if you move it to the Sport forum the Autos forum will be practically empty. This comes back to whether the Sport forum is really necessary. ;)

Well.. it's sport, but it's also auto related.

Imagine a fantasy "Red Bull Air Racing" competition... would that go in the Sport forum? I doubt it... but it's classed as sport too...

I don't know to be honest. And do I care? Not really. There are too many RULES on this forum anyway... no doubt the management will decide and the decision will be final.

I'd like for it to stay in Auto.

Racing is somehow, just above other sports IMO.  ;)
(but in this case would be below it.  ;D )

In my opinion, anything auto related, whether racing or just other auto subjects, should be posted/kept in the auto forum.  I somehow see and have always thought of auto subjects as a different category than other sports categories, perhaps because auto racing requires a different type of ability than most athletic sports such as football, etc.

I'm gonna go ahead and vote to stay here.

Autosport folk are far to clean and refined to mingle with the likes of "real" sports folk ;)

Well seeing as the cheating German is now back I think it's best we keep it out of the 'sport' forum.  ;D
