I'd charge unamed driver a million bucks to winch it out of the muck. Extortion for extraction.

How much does it cost to mend?

Mass-produced cars are usually not worth repairing. They are built by machine saving a lot of labour, while fixing must be done by hand - so it is cheaper to build a brand new production standard car by machine and discard rather than recycle the wreck.

But supercars like Bugatti are handbuilt anyway. Which means that building them is no less complicated than fixing, and recycling anything salvageable from the wreck saves a lot of effort.

How much would actually have to be replaced? Leather, cloth, electronic sensors, brake systems, exhaust, and the driver.

That engine likely hydro-locked, meaning the entire engine (and possibly, but not likely) the transmission would have to be replaced. I can just imagine the cost of a 16 cylinder, 4 turbo engine!  :o :D:'(

The driver is an idiot. Dropped his cell phone. Ever heard of bluetooth? May be just me, but you DON'T talk on the phone while driving a car worth over $1 million and has 1000 hp.
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Just because you are loaded does not mean you have any common sense. Anyway here is the actual crash Listen to the guy taking the film, he thinks it is a Lambo, oh and no sign of a pelican to be seen ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Good point about the Bluetooth headset... but really, his troubles began when he started groping for his phone instead of driving. If it's that important, pull over and then look for it.   How can one be smart enough to afford such a car, but still be so stupid?  ::)

That applies to any car no matter what it's worth. This idiot could easily have killed someone.

I often wondered about that. Why is it that people can afford an expensive car (to me that everything worth more than 10,000 Euro's) but can't spend 100 Euro on a cheap handsfree carkit? Even I have a bleutooth carkit in my 18 year old Benz. Cost me 92 Euro and 10 minutes to install...

Crash ;)
