You spend a fortune on your gleaming pride and joy telling your mates how much carbon fibre is used, how much aerospace technology has been incorporated, and how much carbon fibre there is, how fast it goes from 0 to 60, and how much carbon fibre there is, not to mention all the electronic stability control, not forgetting how much carbon fibre there is....................So when you crash it and it burns a little, you can now tell them just how much metal there was in your pride and joy................about as much as an Airfix kit

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
